The Reviewers

Hi! I feel like I've been a book-lover since birth; I can't remember a time when I didn't love reading. In my book timeline, my first real love was The Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

I inhaled the image of wide open prairies with tall grass flowing in the wind. I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up: a frontier adventurer. As it turns out, the only frontier I've been exploring as an adult is the infinite one created by the written word.

Because of my abiding love of books, I went to study literature at Brigham Young University. I have since been a writer and editor for BYU Broadcasting, but for now I stay at home raising my son and passing on my passion for books.

So, I know how to read, which is probably the only qualification I have for contributing to a blog that reviews books.  For most of my life I've been a light casual reader; I read when I feel like it and when I have the time.

In college, where I studied and graduated in Information Systems Management, I read mostly text books and technical books (well, the technical books were usually also text books).  However, if I ever ended up being bored I knew I could borrow one of Katie B's novels.

Maybe a blog like this will motivate me to read more.
